The focus of this restoration was the preservation and enhancement of the features that give this worship space its unique character. The interior was repainted in shades similar to, but lighter than, the existing color scheme and in complement to the gold-leaf stenciling. New interior lights were designed to illuminate the sanctuary and its distinctive painting that depicts The Last Supper. Pendant lights in keeping with the style and era of the interior were installed to replace the existing lights. New wall fixtures highlight the dramatic wooden arches and ceiling. An important decorative aspect of the church is its Italian marble featured in the reredos, side altars, sanctuary floor and altar rail. These were all thoroughly cleaned and restored, and part of the altar rail was moved to provide new settings for the tabernacle and baptistery. All new pews were installed, including moveable seating at the front of the nave. Provisions for accessibility to all areas of the worship space were provided.
